Chartering procedure.

The way of chartering one of our yacht is:

The client choose the type of the yacht he desire, fill into the Request form all the questions. Attention need with the exact dates, delivery/redelivery ports, number of people in the group.

The owner of the yacht will contact with the client by phone, fax or Email in order to inform him for agree the hire and if the yacht is available.

As soon both agree, the owner will “hold” the yacht’s requested days for a period of seven (7) days period.

The client will receive from the owner a charter agreement in two (2) copies. The first one (1) will be signed by client and returned to owner together with the receipt of the bank he has remit the 30% of the agreed hire.

( During the “hold” period, the yacht cannot be booked by someone else, and the client must not delay to return the papers, for arrive on time.)

The charter is confirmed as soon as, the signed agreement and the deposit receipt, received.

The balance of the hire will be paid: 30% of the agreed amount 30 days after the first remittance and the next 40% , 30 days before the embarkation or with any other agreed manner.

Damage deposit.

On delivery a deposit amount must be left to owner, against any damage, loss to yacht and/or her equipments. If no damages or losses the said amount will be returned at the end of the cruise. Only cash or traveler’s check accepted.

Documents:

On each sailing party required, from the yacht Insurance and the Greek Port Authorities, at least two (2) qualified with sailing licenses crew members. Please supply us 4 weeks prior your departure with following:

Crew list with the crew will sail, copies of the licenses of two members and please on arrival to bring the same with your passports.

Arrivals:

Upon arrival to port the yacht will be ready, filled with fuel and water. During whole embarkation procedures, we will ask you to leave your luggage outside of the yacht or on the yacht deck. With skipper we check the yacht, engine, sails, electrical parties and the inventory. We will obtain the departure permission from the Authorities.

What to bring:

Luggage: You are kindly request to bring soft bags and not suitcase as yacht storage is limited.
Shoes: Soft, rubber-sole shoes, boat shoes or sandals.
Hats: Hats with brims offering protection against the sun.
Clothing: Casual comfortable clothing is the best for everyday cruising. Include shorts, T-shirts, bathing suits, light cotton jeans, light windbreaker and sweater.
Audio cassettes/CD’s: Cassette or CD player are available to our yachts. Bring your favorite cassettes and or CD’s. Don’t forget sunglasses, suntan lotions and your camera.

Cancellation policy:

In case for some reason you want to cancel your booking please give us in writing by the same person who singed the charter agreement. In order to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to re-book the yacht, we make a cancellation charges on the scale shown below and depends we receive your letter or fax.

  • Up to 90 days we return all your deposit amount less bank charges.
  • 90-30 days before departure 20% of the deposit amount.
  • 15-29 days before departure 50% of the deposit amount.
  • 14 days or less before departure 50% of total hire
  • 24 hours before departure 100% of the hire.

Charter terms:

These are clear outline into the charter agreement, which we will sent to you for notification. However the agreed hire you have to pay, there are NO hidden charges.

What the charter rate includes and does not include:

Included :

  • The full use of the yacht and her equipment
  • Yacht’s marine insurance
  • Clean linen, towels and blankets
  • Any assistance from us at the port.

Not included :

  • Fuel and water
  • Mooring marina and canal fees, if any
  • Crew fees
  • Clients personal holidays insurance
  • Food and drinks

The yacht will be delivered to you clean with fuel and water tanks full.

The yacht on redelivery must be in the same conditions as on delivery, with full the fuel and water tanks. Clean, the instruments, sails and gears in good working order, or you pay for any differences.

While at sea

Chartering a sailing yacht offers you unlimited freedom, sense of ownership and also the responsibility for your crew and boat. Try to keep your yacht clean and check daily the engine and equipment. You will be instructed of your yacht’s particularities.

As a skipper you are aware that during your cruise some little inconveniences may happen. Please inform us immediately in any circumstances if you are unable to solve the matter by yourself. We can contracted technicians at most ports and islands. And remember, at the end of your holidays, claims for equipment’s failure will not be considered if you fail to communicate with us. We are available 24 hours a day. Remember that you are not alone.

Rubbish disposal

The increase of man made rubbish in the seas is saddening. Sea mammals and fishes die of this pollution. Please use the disposal facilities on the ports. Do not throw waste in the sea. Keep our seas and beaches CLEAN. As former Seamen and members of Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) we are very concerned for the preservation of the Greek seas.
